The Archbishop of Canterbury Addresses Royal Family Rift
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Jason Welby, spoke out about Prince Harry’s rift with the royal family and urged people not to judge
“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” the spokesperson said. Harry’s tension with his father and brother goes back to 2020 when he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as working senior royals and moved to the United States with their son Archie, now 5. The rift deepened when Harry made several claims about the royal family in his 2023 memoir Spare, including an allegation that he once got into a physical fight with William, 41, over Meghan, 42.
