For decades, Goldsman has been making a statement with his work; after all, he wrote the screenplay for “A Beautiful Mind.” In 2023, he launched “The Crowded Room” on Apple TV+, executive producing the series, inspired by the 1981 novel “The Minds of Billy Milligan,” alongside star Tom Holland. When I returned home from Toronto, where I’d shot “Fellow Travelers,” I started at the very beginning of “Succession” and binged all four seasons in a week — it was wonderful living inside the complicated minds of those characters and experiencing the brilliant architecture of one of the greatest television series of all time
