The 20 best shows and films to watch On Demand this weekend: Our critics sift through thousands of options so you don't have to

From the Secret World Of Sound With David Attenborough to Oscar-nominated Poor Things starring Emma Stone, dive into are our critics' pick of the best shows and films to watch On Demand.

The cast is terrific - Jarvis is reminiscent of Tom Hardy in the lead, while Sawai delivers an intriguing mix of composure and subtly bubbling emotion as Mariko, and Hiroyuki Sanada is riveting as Toranaga, a local lord who strikes an uneasy alliance with Blackthorne. Stacey Dooley, Jamie Laing, Russell Tovey and Jon Richardson are the varied selection of celebrity guests in episode one, joining regular captains Josh Widdicombe, who genuinely seems to know his stuff, and Alison Hammond for a lively mix of banter and questions. There are also two very familiar Danish faces in The Killing’s Sofie Grabol as Miriam, an officer with a troubled son, and David Dencik (McMafia, Chernobyl) as jaded veteran Henrik, while Governor Gert (Charlotte Fich) tries to keep things ticking over and save the prison from closure.
