However, there are plenty of people who need to pop to the shops for everything from another bottle of booze to a last-minute turkey or a present for that relative you forgot was turning up. However, the supermarkets are not necessarily going to be open at the times you're used to with the three most popular - Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda - all cutting down their hours in many of their stores in the days before and after Christmas.
