Steve — a wildlife conservationist and beloved television personality — died at age 44 after being pierced by a stingray barb in September 2006. The conservationist has been capturing hearts across the world since she first appeared on TV at the age of 2 alongside her late father, Steve “The Crocodile Hunter” Irwin. Terri shared that she thinks Steve would be “very proud” of the work they’ve done in his honor, which was a “big dream” of his to pass on his love of conservation.
