Chinese streaming giant Tencent has inked a deal with France-based Animation Digital Network(ADN) for its martial arts epic “ Blades of the Guardians,” Variety has learned. Tasked with a seemingly simple escort mission to Chang’an, Dao Ma quickly becomes entangled in imperial conspiracies, unleashing a chain of bloodshed, betrayal and destiny. Tencent Video remains a dominant player in China’s streaming market, offering a deep library of dramas, features, variety shows, sports, documentaries and animation.
