The trailer for the new documentary Fanatical: The Catfishing of Tegan and Sara — which premieres on Hulu on Oct. 18 — shows how somebody hacked into the personal information of the artists (who are sisters), including their mother’s medical history and used it to leverage relationships with their fans around 2011. It felt off, so I reached out to her management and I got a text that says, ‘She has no idea who you are.’ And I said, ‘Well, then Tegan has a big problem. Filmmaker Erin Lee Carr ( Stormy, I Love You, Now Die, Britney vs Spears) directed the picture.
