In June 2024, Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina confirmed Wayt had been found safe after Amber reported him missing. Through all of life’s recent ups and downs, Amber also acknowledged her distant relationship with 16-year-old daughter Leah, who she shares with ex Gary Shirley. Amber was noticeably absent when Shirley and his wife, Kristina, gifted Leah a Nissan car in celebration of her learner’s permit.
