Teddy Swims’ Stylist Apologizes for Grammys Outfit That ‘Mirrored’ Designer Label Windowsen’s Work
Teddy Swims stylist Christian Strobles has apologized to fashion brand Windowsen after the singer's Grammys outfit closely resembled their design.
Before he took the stage to perform “Lose Control” in an eccentric, flower-covered white trench coat, the musician walked the red carpet in a tan suit and hat combo covered in gold, bronze, and cream-colored pearls. “Upon reflection, I understand the weight and significance of the design process-how every stitch, fabric choice and detail is imbued with emotion, dedication and artistic vision,” the stylist wrote on Instagram. “In overseeing the production of the jacket with a local artist here in Los Angeles, I failed to triple-check the design in a manner that ensured it was distinct enough against all the references I supplied, which in the end mirrored too closely to your work.
