Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave split almost two weeks before the reality star filed for divorce on Friday.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, and Arroyave, 47, listed their date of separation as October 20 in court documents, as per Us Weekly, with Teddi citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason. On Saturday, Teddi took to her main Instagram page and penned to her fans and followers, 'After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.' Teddi added, 'Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.'
