Ted Danson to Receive the Carol Burnett Award at Golden Globes

Ted Danson has been named the recipient of the Golden Globes' Carol Burnett Award, which he'll receive during the ceremony airing on Jan. 5.

The news about Danson, who’s following in the footsteps of previous recipients Norman Lear, Ryan Murphy, and Ellen DeGeneres, was announced on Monday. “Ted Danson has entertained audiences for decades with his iconic performances that will forever be ingrained in television history,” president of the Golden Globes Helen Hoehne, said in a statement. It is an honor to present him with the 2025 Carol Burnett Award to celebrate the tremendous impact he has made and continues to make in television.”
