Technology & Engineering Emmys: ILM Gets Inaugural Production Technology Award; Vizio Founder Honored


'The Santa Clauses' took the inaugural Excellence in Production Technology Emmy, and a Lifetime Achievement Award went to Vizio founder/CEO William Wang.

Both were honored at the 75th anniversary Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards, hosted by CBS Sunday Morning correspondent David Pogue at the Prince George Ballroom in New York on Wednesday night. ”The team at Industrial Light & Magic are incredibly honored to be recognized by the Television Academy with an Emmy Award for our innovative StageCraft technology and the advancements made for The Santa Clauses, Season 2,” ILM’s Rachel Rose said. Vizio’s Wang was honored for his contributions to the television manufacturing industry by bringing premium-quality, innovative TVs, and soundbars into millions of American homes at affordable prices, per NATAS.
