Teamsters Leader Lindsay Dougherty on AI Trucks, Wages, and the Chance of a Strike: ‘It’s Unlikely’
Lindsay Dougherty, the Teamsters boss who rocketed to stardom during the strikes, gets her chance to sit down with the AMPTP on Monday.
Teamsters Local 399 played a pivotal role in last year’s strikes, as truck drivers honored writers’ picket lines and helped shut down production. At the same time, the union’s new leader, Lindsay Dougherty, became a star, brandishing her tattoos and launching obscenities at the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The Basic Crafts talks come on the heels of three months of bargaining by the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, which adjourned early Thursday morning without a deal.
