In a three-hour conversation with Curtiss King on Thursday (April 17), Top Dog Entertainment’s president spoke on all things TDE, including the high-profile rap battle between Drake and K-Dot. While the rap battle appears to be on pause for now, Drake has been fighting hard in court to prove that UMG — his and Kendrick’s label — defamed him with the success of K-Dot’s diss track “Not Like Us.” In an amended complaint filed late Wednesday, Drake’s attorneys claimed Kendrick’s Super Bowl Halftime show, watched by 133 million people and “million of children,” “revitalized the public’s attention” to lyrics calling Drake a “certified pedophile,” a diss that the Canadian superstar slams as false and defamatory.
