The 14-time Grammy winner’s gesture comes less than two weeks after Helene made landfall in Florida on Sept. 26, reaching a record storm surge of 15 feet high and unleashing an unprecedented 40 trillion gallons of rain on the area, according to the Associated Press. Swift’s donation marks the latest instance of the pop star giving away portions of her staggering net worth — newly estimated at $1.6 billion, making her the richest female musician — to charitable causes.
