Taylor Swift broke records at the 2024 MTV VMAs, becoming the most awarded solo artist in VMAs history.

She also extended her own record of the most overall Video of the Year wins to five, having previously won in 2023 for “Anti-Hero,” 2022 for All Too Well: The Short Film, 2019 for “You Need to Calm Down,” and 2015 with “Bad Blood.” The evening ended with her tying Beyoncé as the most decorated VMA winner of all time, technically surpassing her count as a solo artist. Swift’s landmark VMA night comes as the pop star gears up for the final leg of The Eras Tour.
