Taylor Swift Breaks Beyonce's Record for Most MTV Video Music Award Wins
Taylor Swift broke the MTV Video Music Awards record on Wednesday night, winning 30 awards in all. Swift's new milestone breaks Beyoncé's previous record of 25 victories
During her acceptance speech for her latest win, Taylor Swift shared insights about directing the video and credited many of the people involved in the process. She gave a special mention to Post Malone and “my boyfriend Travis Kelce,” who, according to Swift, was “cheering and woo-ing from across the studio where we were shooting [the video].” Beyoncé, another big star of the night, was nominated for “Song of the Year” for her blockbuster single “Texas Hold ‘Em” from her country album, “Cowboy Carter.” Beyoncé’s “Texas” competed with Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso,” Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” and Jack Harlow’s “Lovin on Me.”
