This year’s show is sure to impress with a talent-packed lineup that includes Katy Perry, who will be honored with the Video Vanguard Award, as well as Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. After they were spotted holding hands during multiple outings, Laroi confirmed their romance in April when he told the crowd during his Dublin concert, “I need everybody in here to sing this as loud as they can because my girlfriend’s here tonight, and I don’t want to look lame.” The duo showed off their strong connection at McRae’s Madison Square Garden concert in New York City later that month when she brought Laroi on stage to perform his song “Without You,” which she revealed was their “first time singing together.”
