Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ Muse Christina Lindberg Celebrated With Blu-ray Campaign Unveiled at Cannes (EXCLUSIVE)
Swedish exploitation star's 'Kill Bill' inspiration film gets deluxe treatment alongside other cult classics.
The initiative kicks off with Thursday’s release of a double-disc edition of “Thriller – A Cruel Picture” (1973), the groundbreaking revenge film famously cited by Quentin Tarantino as inspiration for Darryl Hannah’s character in “ Kill Bill.” The Klubb Super 8 campaign continues in July with “Anita – Swedish Nymphet” (1973), which pairs Lindberg with a young Stellan Skarsgård. The restoration by the Swedish Film Institute will include the newly rediscovered “hot” French edit and marks Klubb Super 8’s debut as a Vinegar Syndrome partner label.
