Taraji P. Henson sizzles in form-fitting burgundy sequin dress as one of honorees at 6th American Black Film Festival Honors in Beverly Hills.
Henson would go on to gain recognition for playing a prostitute in the drama Hustle & Flow (2005) and as the adoptive mother of Brad Pitt's character in David Fincher's The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (2008), which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Rae would also make a point to share the spotlight of the red carpet with acclaimed actor Jeffrey Wright (Basquiat, Westworld, American Fiction), who also among the honorees of the evening, receiving the Excellence In The Arts Award (Male). The Hollywood Legacy Award went to actor, comedian, singer and writer Garrett Morris (The Jamie Foxx Show, 2 Broke Girls, Martin), who was also the first Black cast member of Saturday Night Live back in the 1970s.
