Taormina Film Fest Unveils 2024 Lineup, With ‘Saint Clare’ Set To Open Plus Movies Starring Nicolas Cage, Daisy Edgar-Jones
Taormina Film Festival has unveiled lineup including Nicolas Cage Project Surfers, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Bella Thorne's Saint Clare.
The July fest has unveiled gala lineup, including action title Twisters directed by Lee Isaac Chung starring Daisy Edgar-Jones; psychological thriller The Surfer by Lorcan Finnegan starring Nicolas Cage and Il giudice ed il boss, which comes from the director of Placido Rizzotto, Pasquale Scimeca. There will be an international premiere of From Ground Zero that presents the “tale of untold stories” signed by 22 young Palestinian filmmakers who have filmed daily life in Gaza. Taormina said “for this edition, Marco Müller the eight-time director of the Venice Film Festival has developed a programme with a broad cultural and geographical range, made up not only of films.” It added that the Fondazione Taormina Arte Sicilia, which has produced and organized the event for a number of years, “plans to implement new strategies to promote the festival in the medium and long term.”
