T.I. Announces His Retirement From Performing
The Atlanta legend says he ‘doesn’t need the money anymore.’
During an appearance on 96.1 The Beat’s “Rari at 2” show with Young Dro, hosted by Ferrari Simmons and BT, the Atlanta legend discussed the station’s annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball, where he’s set to headline alongside T-Pain, Sexyy Red, Saweetie, Khalid, Tinashe, and The Kid Laroi at State Farm Arena on Thursday, Dec. 19. would be involved in another upcoming show, he responded with, “Of course, I’m going to answer the phone to tell them that I will not be performing.” However, he clarified that while he’s stepping back, he may perform again in the future — but only on his own terms. As reported by BET, last month, the “Live Your Life” hitmaker and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris won a $71 million lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, successfully proving that the toy company infringed on the intellectual property rights of their music group, OMG Girlz, with its L.O.L.
