System of a Down and Deftones are set to headline Golden Gate Park's first nighttime concert. Get the details.
Promoter Another Planet Entertainment announced the groundbreaking event Tuesday (April 9), alongside Live Nation; it will also feature performances from The Mars Volta, Viagra Boys and VOWWS. “We are excited to be bringing such an iconic lineup to the city and what better venue than Golden Gate Park,” said Another Planet Entertainment president of concerts and festivals Allen Scott in a release. Legendary artists including Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Neil Young have all played the park over the past 55 years.
