Sylmar Studios Production Complex to Open in January in L.A. (EXCLUSIVE)
The facility will include six 16,000 sq. ft. soundstages.
The studio, which is led by president and general manager Patrick Dempse, has partnered with Spectrum Entertainment Enterprise division to provide IDF (individual distribution frame) rooms, a high-speed network, and a central plant/chiller system. It is understood that at opening, Sylmar Studios will have MPA’s Trusted Partner Network certification and operate as a “green studio” with a “zero waste initiative.” The facility is also built in an Opportunity Zone, a geographic area designated to encourage economic growth and job creation in low-income communities. Sylmar Studios was designed by Ware Malcomb with XBC Building Company and Bomel Construction as principal contractors.
