Syfy Picks Up ‘Revival’ Series Based On Comics, Renews ‘SurrealEstate’ As ‘Resident Alien’ Fate Remains In Limbo
Syfy has given a series order to Revival, based on the comic books. The network also has given a Season 3 renewal to scripted series SurrealEstate.
Not mentioned in the release are the two high-end, homegrown, UCP-produced Syfy scripted series, Chucky, which it shares with USA Network, and Resident Alien. Produced by Canadian company Blue Ice Pictures, Revival is set on one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin when the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. When local Officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.
