Sydney Sweeney Speaks On ‘Madame Web’ Flopping & Potential Marvel Return
Not everyone is sour on Madame Web. Sydney Sweeney recently spoke about how reaction to the film’s box office failure and if she’d ever return to the role.
The project seemingly opened a whole new world to Sydney Sweeney’s career, in contrast to it potentially ending Dakota Johnson’s time as a leading woman. When asked in the same interview whether she’d return as Julia Carpenter in a Madame Web sequel or potential Spider-Woman movie, Sydney Sweeney seemed relatively open to the idea, stating “I think that if the story is right and you have the right team, I would love to.” With how massive of a flop Madame Web was, it’s possible Marvel pulls Sydney Sweeney into the MCU through the next Avengers film, giving her a chance to helm her own franchise.
