On Thursday, Neon released the trailer for Immaculate, out March 22, which sees the actress playing a nun pregnant with an evil “miracle.” Sweeney witnesses a suicide, gets dressed as the Virgin Mary, is slapped by an evil nun, and is drowned all in the 2-minute trailer. “Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors,” read a description of the film.
