Sydney radio star Ron Wilson poached by rival network 2SM... following veteran broadcaster John Laws' retirement
Sydney radio station 2SM has poached radio and TV veteran Ron Wilson from rival network Smooth FM in the wake of fellow veteran broadcaster John Laws' retirement.
2SM has also poached Smooth FM newsreader Mary-Ann Harris, who will team up with Wilson to read the news on the new, live, breakfast show. 2SM has also poached Smooth FM newsreader Mary-Ann Harris, who will team up with Wilson to read the news on the new, live, breakfast show John began his career in radio back in 1953 at 3BO in Bendigo and his unique style earned the broadcaster the nickname 'The Golden Tonsils'.
