SXSW Festival to Expand With Launch of London Edition in June 2025
South by Southwest will expand into Europe with a London edition of the arts, media and culture festival set to bow in June 2025.
“I am delighted to welcome SXSW to London for the first time ever — confirming our place at the heart of Europe’s tech and creative sectors and as a global capital of culture,” Khan said. Lucy Frazer, the U.K.’s secretary of culture, media and sport, also noted the significance of a major entertainment festival expanding to Blighty. This year’s SXSW festival in Austin, held March 8-16, featured a broad lineup of film and TV premieres, including “The Fall Guy,” “Civil War,” “The Idea of You,” “Monkey Man” and Netflix’s “3 Body Problem.”
