Just last week, Waitrose customers were similarly alerted that a batch of a popular pasta sauce might have been contaminated with salmonella, with food enthusiasts being urged to return the pesto at their earliest convenience. The Food Standards Agency issued a warning about products sold at Aldi, Spar and Domino's, which contained potential peanut contamination that could be 'life threatening' for allergy sufferers.
