Sundance Film Festival Awards: ‘In the Summers’ and ‘Daughters’ Take Home Top Prizes
Sundance Film Festival announced its award winners Friday morning.
The 2024 Sundance Film Festival Awards are underway in Park City, Utah, where a new crop of indies will do battle across multiple categories, including the coveted U.S. Park City’s Ray Theater was packed Friday morning as dramatic jurors Lena Waithe, Debra Granik and Adrian Tomine circulated with cinephiles and industry types. Incoming Sundance Film Festival director Eugene Hernandez began the ceremony but leading the audience in a single deep breath, and highlighted his team’s exhaustive efforts to program this milestone 40th anniversary edition.
