Sun Valley Film Festival Shifts From March to December (EXCLUSIVE)
The Sun Valley Film Festival will shift from March to December as it hopes to become a prominent stop on the awards circuit.
The Sun Valley Film Festival’s Winter Screening Series will take place Dec. 6-7 this year, just before Academy Award shortlist voting starts on Dec. 9. Chris Albert, former head of marketing and communications for National Geographic, said, “The Sun Valley Film Festival has been a true partner for more than a decade. The organization will continue its Monthly Movies series for local audiences, as well as other year-round programs and workshops such as SVJr Film, Shop Talks and the Screenwriter Lab Residency.
