Sum 41 Cancels Australian Tour Due to Deryck Whibley’s Health

Sum 41 has canceled their Australian tour after frontman Deryck Whibley became ill and was advised by doctors not to perform.

Sum 41 have canceled their upcoming tour of Australia, including a co-headlining slot at the Good Things Festival, citing frontman Deryck Whibley ’s ongoing struggle with his health. The news was initially shared by the singer’s wife Ariana Cooper Whibley, who revealed that the medical emergency overlapped with their eighth wedding anniversary plans. Earlier this fall, Whibley debuted his memoir, Walking Disaster: My Life Through Heaven and Hell, which included claims he was groomed and sexually and verbally abused by the band’s first manager, Greig Nori, during the early stages of the group’s career.
