Sue Cleaver addresses 'really strange' long absence from Corrie amid health battle


Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver opened up about her 'rubbish year' and break from the soap, as she detailed undergoing a hysterectomy and ending up in A&E and intensive care

Speaking on Kate Thornton's White Wine Question Time, which is available to listen to on all podcast platforms, Sue shared an insight into her recent health issues and reason for her Corrie absence. Sue, who has played character Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, detailed the 'ups and downs' of her 'rubbish year' (Image: ITV/REX/Shutterstock)She continued: "I was poorly for a while, so I've been off Corrie and hardly been in it sort of six, seven months, which is really strange. Podcast host Kate then asked how Sue's hysterectomy operation affected her menopause as she pointed out that "whilst it solves a lot of problems, it presents loads more."
