Studiocanal has unveiled the first clip of 'The Most Precious of Cargoes,' an animated feature competing at Cannes, directed by Michel Hazanavicius.

Studiocanal has unveiled the first clip of Michel Hazanavicius ‘s “ The Most Precious of Cargoes,” an allegorical hand-drawn animated feature which is competing at the Cannes Film Festival. The drama intertwines the fate of a Jewish family, including newborn twins, deported to Auschwitz, with that of a poor and childless woodcutter couple living deep in a Polish forest. Hazanavicius, who was born into a family of holocaust survivors from Eastern Europe, said he was at first hesitant to make a movie with this dark historical backdrop, but was ultimately drawn by the “magnificence of this story.”
