Studiocanal & Working Title Team For Timely D-Day Movie ‘Pressure’ About The Make-Or-Break Decisions Behind The Historic Normandy Landings
The film will chart the extraordinary true story of the pressure cooker environment facing the decision-makers behind D-Day.
Anthony Maras ( Hotel Mumbai) is set to direct the film, which is based on Olivier Award winner David Haig’s acclaimed West End play of the same name. D-Day is one of the most iconic moments in western history and has been memorably portrayed a number of times on screen, including in Saving Private Ryan, Band Of Brothers and The Longest Day. He will deliver a high-profile speech contrasting his vision of democracy with his 2024 political opponent Donald Trump, and hold a formal state visit with President Emmanuel Macron.
