Struggling ‘Lempicka’ Ending Broadway Run
'Lempicka,' a musical about Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka, will end its Broadway run on May 19
In a statement, the “Lempicka” producers said: “We are so proud of our production and the family of artists and artisans who’ve shaped it. Few knew better than Tamara de Lempicka that art isn’t easy but always worth the effort.” The month of April also brought the debut of “Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club,” a West End transfer that stars Eddie Redmayne, and “Stereophonic,” a drama about a rock group that earned a record-breaking 13 Tony nominations, the most ever awarded to a play.
