Strictly Come Dancing star Shayne Ward once feared his singing career was over after finding out he was suffering from nodules on his throat, resulting in him needing surgery

Having rose to fame on The X Factor, Shayne is best-known for his incredible singing voice, but has also branched out into acting, having previously landed a role in Coronation Street. Shayne shared a snap ahead of his Strictly medicalThe singer posed for a selfie outside of the clinic, and told his fans on Instagram: "Almost 20 years ago I visited Harley street and learnt that I developed vocal nodules. The opening show will air on BBC One from 7.20pm, with Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Anton du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood returning as judges.
