Strictly's Chris McCausland's blindness 'tantrums' amid heartbreak over thing he'd love to see

Comedian Chris McCausland is no stranger to making fun of his blindness, but he has previously admitted it took him a while to 'accept' who he is without his sight

Chris McCausland lost his sight at the age of 22 after years of slowly going blind due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa. Having carved out a career as a stand-up comedian, the star is now making history as the first-ever blind contestant to compete on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. Chris, 47, blew Strictly fans away with his first live performance alongside pro Dianne Buswell, 35, during the launch show, with many taken aback by his ability to dance without his sight.
