Strictly's Chris McCausland forced to quit career when he realised he was going blind


Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland found fame as a stand-up comedian, going on to appear on TV shows, but prior to his he had a very different career path

The Strictly Come Dancing star switched his job after his eyesight began to fail and eventually he found himself trying out stand-up comedy. Chris is competing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing (Image: PA)He told the Liverpool Echo: “When I finished uni I focused on designing websites, but then my eyesight started deteriorating and I had enough. Stand-up comedy soon opened up doors for him and he landed some TV opportunities, including starring in adverts and guest appearances in shows.
