The comedian, 47, is the first blind contestant in the history of the BBC show, and on Saturday he and partner Dianne scored 36 out of 40 for their Viennese waltz to Metallica track Nothing Else Matters. One said: 'If Chris & Diane do not WIN #Strictly then there seriously needs to be a BOYCOTT of this show because Pete [Wicks] is being marked unnecessary kindly when we have a man who has learned steps to dances with no visual queue’s & is graceful & beautiful to watch,it’s brought a tear to my eye. But a third fan still has no idea whether the ultimate champions will be Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec, JLS singer JB Gill and Lauren Oakley or Miranda actress Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola.
