Strictly star Richard Coles took to X to share the heartbreaking news his two dachshunds Daisy and Pongo died last weekend.

Former Strictly contestant Richard Coles has shared the news he has suffered a double heartache after his two beloved dogs died on the same day. Richard, the former Communards pianist and dance partner of Dianne Buswell in 2017, shared his pooches with his late husband David Oldham, who died in 2019. Nearly four years after mourning David, the vicar-turned-author signed up to dating app Elite Singles and met actor Dickie “Richard” Cant, who has starred in Mary Queen of Scots, Stan & Ollie and Doctor Who.
