Strictly professionals tour was 'axed' for next year after its culture of 'drinking and fun' sparked concern - as bosses move to 'rebuild the brand' following misconduct probe

The move, which is yet to be officially announced, comes as the BBC prepares to release the findings of a £250,000 investigation into workplace misconduct.

BBC bosses 'pulled the plug' on the Strictly Come Dancing professionals tour in an attempt to rebuild the beleaguered brand after allegations of behind-the-scenes bullying led to an ongoing misconduct probe, sources claim. The Mirror has revealed the subject access request is understood to have been made to the BBC by Amanda's team, to provide any personal data or information that might shed light on her and Giovanni's relationship. It means that Giovanni, who has already let his frustrations at the investigation be known, has faced an even longer wait for an outcome after three former dance partners, including Amanda, instructed lawyers to make 'serious complaints' about his conduct.
