Strictly Come Dancing fans were left screaming with joy as Miranda Hart was spotted in the audience of the BBC show, after the actress made a rare TV appearance

Joining Miranda in the audience was Patricia Hodge, the actress who played her mother on-screen, showing their support for Sarah as she and her dance partner Vito Coppola dazzled with a number from the musical Wicked - giving them a score of 38. Sarah performed a Wicked number with her partner VitoIn a candid admission Miranda opened up about how she was trapped at home for a period of time after Lyme disease went undetected and progressed into chronic fatigue syndrome. It's nice to be back on TV and I feel very excited because once you've been in bed and housebound with a chronic illness that takes a long time to be diagnosed, you miss life so I'm thrilled to be here."
