Strictly Come Dancing is set to make it's hotly-anticipated return on Saturday after being rocked by a number of scandals over the summer.

The curse - which has claimed several marriages - is at odds with the show's family-friendly image, with bosses attempting to play down its siginficance, despite leaving viewers gripped thanks to some couples' sizzling chemistry. The axing caused uproar among fans and calls of sexism while Harriet Harman, the minister for women and equality, blamed ageism when the debate reached the House of Commons.
