Still going strong! Richard Wilkins, 70, and girlfriend Mia Hawkswell, 43, cuddle up as they lead arrivals for VIP party in Sydney

Richard Wilkins and his celebrity makeup artist girlfriend led the VIP arrivals for restaurant Catalina's star-studded private birthday bash in Rose Bay on Thursday evening.

The particular mix required to 'honour the milestone in true Sydney style' per the invitation, called for presence of one entertainment guru, one McO Beauty founder, and one very recently retired Channel Seven news director. Mia is the go-to make up artist for a number of Sydney's high-profile women, including Sonia Kruger(who reportedly introduced the pair), fitness influencer Rachael Finch, Jessica Rowe and Kate Waterhouse. Among the other guests epitomising the 'eastern suburbs' according to the party's invitation, were influencer Nadia Fairfax-Wayne, Luxe Listings Sydney star Monika Tu, MCo Beauty founder Shelley Sullivan and Michael Coombes.
