Stevie Wonder Once Told Carmelo Anthony How Much He Loves to Watch Him Play
The legendary singer seems to be a good sport about all the celebrity stories about him.
One famous story was told by Shaq a few years ago on Inside the NBA when the Hall of Fame big man claimed the famous singer and songwriter walked into an elevator in the L.A. building they lived in, turned his way to say what’s up, pressed his floor, and got off and walked to his apartment. During a recent episode of his 7PM in Brooklyn podcast with co-hosts The Kid Mero, Kazeem Famuyide and guest Rudy Gay, the former New York Knick told a story about meeting Stevie Wonder for the first time. As he made his way around the room, he shook Anthony’s hand and allegedly told the future Hall of Famer, “I love watching you play.” Of course, his co-hosts begin to lose it, although Carmelo swears by it and mentions that there’s another part to the saga, but he won’t tell it because Kobe isn’t here anymore and only he can.
