Years before Daisy Jones & the Six became a series for Amazon, author Taylor Jenkins Reid opened up about the inspiration behind her beloved characters, giving credit to former Fleetwood Mac band members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Nicks admitted to the outlet that she originally had no intention of watching the Prime Video drama — which aired in March 2023 — “because I thought I was going to hate it so much,” but decided to give it a go while recovering from COVID-19. Following the critical acclaim of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s Daisy Jones and the Six, Prime Video brought the compelling characters to the small screen in a limited series starring Riley Keough, Sam Claflin and more.
