(Photo by Monica Schipper/Getty Images) Milo Ventimiglia became emotional as he revealed his Malibu home was completely destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires – in eerily similar circumstances to his This Is Us character, Jack Pearson. In an eerily similar coincidence, Ventimiglia’s This Is Us character, Jack Pearson, died from smoke inhalation after the family home burned down in fictional scenes. More than 12,000 structures are estimated to have been destroyed in the wildfires ravaging parts of Los Angeles including the exclusive Pacific Palisades area, Malibu, Santa Monica and the Hollywood Hills.
