Sterling K. Brown Explains Why He Turned Down 'This Is Us' Directorial Role

'This Is Us' star Sterling K. Brown said he's interested in directing 'Paradise’ -- something he didn’t do on his former show

The NBC series, which ran from 2016 to 2022, focused on siblings Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). Paradise is set in a quiet, wealthy community and follows the story of Xavier Collins, Secret Service agent and father of two whose world turns upside down after a former U.S. president is killed. During a Thursday, February 15, interview with Variety, Brown, 47, recalled running into Common, 51, on a flight after parodying him during a March 2018 episode of the sketch comedy show.
